Berimbau is an association of families located in the Gracia neighbourhood in Barcelona.
Our space is for children aged 10 months to 3 years old, and is managed by a Lili and Martina, counting on the support of the families who are part of it.
Lili, originally from Brazil, studied a degree in Psychology in London, and is trained in freedom-based education,
relational psychomotricity and music. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Waldorf pedagogy.
Martina is a teacher of early childhood education (Universitat de Barcelona).
Trained in preventive educational psychomotricity (AEC Barcelona), Emotional Accompaniment (Senda)
and Educació Viva (Craev).
Berimbau is a musical instrument originally from Africa which was integrated into the practice of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art, to accompany the Capoeira movements of the participants in the circle.
For us it is an instrument that symbolises the movement and music that we want to be present in our project at all times.
